At Durning 3D, we create high-resolution computer generated image solutions primarily for print advertising. One-of-a-kind images that are photorealistic or abstract, where the only limits are those of your imagination. Images that are comparable to photography and are typically more cost effective than photography.

3D imaging offers more control and more options than traditional photography and retouching can. And in the hands of an artist, you find you often get more compelling results. Joseph Durning, AOCA

Joseph Durning has years of experience in the advertising and design industry. He’s a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto Canada, where he studied art direction, design, illustration and painting.
He also studied animation at Sheridan College in Oakville.

Over the years Joe has worked as an Art Director, Designer, Illustrator and Creative Director. Recognized as a strong strategic thinker and visual problem solver, Joe understands the advertising industry and has been devoted to creating beautiful and iconic images for nearly 20 years.

3D illustration and imaging have long been a passion of Joe’s, and it is his firm belief that the future of imaging, in the advertising industry, will be forged by a new wave of 3D artist.

3D Step-by-step

We start with your layouts. We model, from your concept, the initial content and propping of the entire image. A ‘clay’ or wireframe version is rendered for preliminary approval.

Then we move into the texturing, light and positioning of camera and props. You get a low resolution image for feedback. We refine it.

Then we move onto the final high resolution image, the final render.
We render it, retouch it and provide it RGB or CMYK. Then we deliver it via FTP, DVD or CD. And sometimes the images are emailable if your server is capable of the capacity. Whatever works for you.
